Nara JALT 2023

On December 3rd 2023 we had our second annual conference at Nara Women’s University. This was our most successful event to date, with a record number of 36 attendees, and we expect the 2024 conference to be even bigger and better!

The objective of the Nara Conference is to give an opportunity for our members to show off their work or ideas in a friendly local environment. We were fortunate enough to have an excellent group of members presenting this year.

-Michael Blodgett & Satoshi Suzuki (The power of podcasting with students)
-Azusa Matsumoto (Promoting interaction in English in JHS English lessons)
-Robert Kerrigan (Simplifying Complex Dynamic Systems Theory)
-Michael Lin (Can prompt engineering enhance EFL education with Japanese university students?)
-Mark Scott (How can students in a classroom stop listening to English and start hearing it?)
-Ann Mayeda & Catriona Chalmers (From snippets to stories)

We can’t wait to the next conference (2024) and we dearly hope to see you there.
